I bought two of these for doing my kitchen worktops, cant fault them, cheap and nasty as you can get, but they work, and at £8.99 I was chuffed, you gets what you pays for.

They fail on there clamping ability.

Hey Jas............How wide do the jaws open out to?

I need something similar for sitting a wet tile cutter on..........fed up with kneeling down on the deck for cutting tiles

i got a couple of those benches too. they do the job as jas says but one thing to do if you buy them ( as i've learnt)

1) take the plastic feet off them and drop some "no nails" or silicone on the legs and put the feet back on. they have a tendency to fall off and are lost easy.

2) always keep your eyes on the holding pegs as they fall out too.

100% honest, i am no fan of Black n Decker (known as Crap n Decker with tradesmen) but the one thing they did produce that was actually decent was a workbench.

Some of the best benches are usually shop-made. It will fit your needs best and be substantial. There are fence and stop systems available that add functionality and to make it easier to build from scratch. (Example of shopmmade bench at http://www.shoptours.org/member2/thscms_...

a bit late i know

take a bit of 12mm ply slightly bigger than your tile cutter screw a small batton around the edges to stop it falling off
with a chunky 2x2" batton underneath for the jaws or2 battons on the outer edge to open the jaws onto
other alternatives are holes drilled for feet in the board or even the workmate top
we are all ------------------still learning

Oh I'm sorry about that link I posted a while back. It kind of funny because when I posted it, the link seemed to work fine. Well I'm going to see if I can find another site that may be beneficial to you.
