Crown Moulding - Finishing?

Post by gahotsauce »

Hi All, quick question about Crown. My Wife and I bought an 18 year old house recently. I think the previous ownwers just slapped up the crown moulding without much care in the finish. It's butted up against a popcorn ceiling. Needless to say there are some gaps, some bigger than others, with the biggest being about the width of a silver dollar. What's the best way to conceal these gaps without taking it all down and scraping the popcorn off?

I'm sorry to say this, but if you don't redo it, your crown molding will not ever look the same. I would just go a head and redo it so save a lot of hard ache.
