Extractor Fan

Coudl you please supply a disgram of how to wire an extractor fan with timer switch from isolator and seperate pull cord (not on light circuit) thanks

do you mean its not to be wired onto the lighting circuit or not to be switched with the other bathroom lights?? answer this and i will be able to give you more help

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

Need to wire as new but not on the lighting circuit

still doesnt help, do you intend to supply the power from the lighting circuit? or from a ring main?
If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

power from lighting circuit into an isolator switch then to fan and pull cord

right, in this instance you will have to use a junction box, or wire everything back to the isolator switch and do the connections there. You will be better off using a switched fused spur for the isolator just make sure you position it outside the bathroom, high up above the toilet/bathroom door is my usual position.

Wire a twin and earth cable to the switch from the spur and a three core and earth cable from the fan to the spur . and your feed from the lighting circuit to the spur.

Your feed will go into the suply terminals of the spur.
Into the load terminals of the spur connect the neutral to your fan and your permanent live to your fan switch feed. Then in a connector block in the back of the spur box connect your fan switch live and your switched live cables together, all earths to the spurs earth terminal. AT the pull switch you will have a live and a switched live and earth connect up as common and L1
