Saw that, but if she clicks Remove after ticking the items. MBAM will shift them.

Hey Scruff.... how did you do that?! I couldn't make it do that!!

I've run a full scan and that's what it came up with! I ticked all of the boxes and remove and they disappeared. Does that mean that they've been removed and my laptop is back to normal? Or it still a problem? Is a trojan thing a virus?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm hopeless at this kind of thing!!!

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! Xx

OK, Your computer is now a lot cleaner than it was.
A trojan is not a virus, but is malware and is detected and usually removed by antispyware or antimalware programs but not antivirus software.

Keep MBAM installed and, as i said earlier, update it once a week and run a quick scan. The free version cannot be set to auto update nor autoscan, but set yourself a five minute slot once a week to update and run it, just to ensure that your computer is clean.

What security programs do you have installed, list them all and then we can judge whether you need a change or not. Most Antispyware does not offer Real-time protection , meaning they are only scanners to check and remove anything that has already got onto your computer. They will not prevent anything getting on in the first place.

Thanks Dave! :-) How do you know all of this stuff?!

I have something called Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent ~ I have a work programme on my laptop and the IT guys installed the Trend thing because of that. I do remember them saying something about it being called real-time, but I couldn't tell you what they meant!

I do regularly do a scan anyway, just to make sure it's ok and it's usually completely clear. When I did it yesterday it came up with 25 spyware things. I clicked remove and they were gone! I hope that was right!! :dunno:

Thanks again! :-)
