Perspex table

Post by ultimatehandyman »

Here is another perspex hear shaped table that I have made this time for the girlfriends niece, it must of taken me 8 hours of cutting, drilling and polishing.

I have now used up all of that colour perspex that I had in stock so I just have two more bedroom tables to make, one for the Nephew and one for a family friend and then I am retiring from making these. I have filmed the whole process from start to finish, which will be a long video once it has been edited!

Look forward to seeing the video...

Sure that table isn't for the nursery?? (Don't let Angie see it...)

Well I hope you are charging them properly for doing it.

Not at all, I wanted to make an "how to" video anyway.

The bits to make it didn't cost much. I have two more bedroom tables (three shelfers) then I am oficially retiring from making them

I'm a bit like the guy who sculpts the pencils, as he never sells his work either

Ha ha, well you should charge them cos family and friends tend to take the ''hit and miss'' otherwise.

Not into perspex myself......rubber yes.......perspex no pmsl.....look nice for a childs nursery/bedroom though.

Angie has the exact same table in her living room

Perspex is great, it never needs painting and has a 10 year guarantee against fading, even when used outside!

Very nice
I've never heard of Perspex before I think I might have to give that stuff a try.

What did you use to cut the Perspex?

Thanks
Paul

I cut the heart shape out with a jigsaw, but a circular saw is good for straight cuts.

The video is uploading to youtube right now, I started the upload last night and it has about 2 hours left to go.

It'll bore the pants off most people, but it does show everything
