Are you old enough to remember Freeserve?
I'm old enough to remember Bulletin Boards before the web started. Back in Freeserve's day they used to just install their settings to the dial up and mod IE so it would have the Freeserve logo and that was about it. AOL is like a leech on a PC

Only AOL did (and still does). All the others, including Freeserve, just added themselves to the dialup and included mods to IE so their company logo was there instead of MS. If you knew what to do it was easy to get back.

I'm old enough to remember Bulletin Boards before the web was around

BTW - AOL isnt an ISP its an ICP (Internet Content Provider) you can only go to sites they approve of

Type out a reply with spelling misstakes, then right click before you submit it and you get a dropdown box.

Somewhere near the bottom it should say check spellin.

Spellchecker wouldn't have helped with the boys down the pub earlier either...

      Clue: Early life form....

      -m -----

They were so busy trying to spell Amoeba....for 20 minutes....So when I pointed out that the answer was "Embryo"...as ROC would say..PMSL
