Hello everyone,
im after a little advice please. i am going to lay some ceramic floor tiles in my porch 2.5 x 1.5 m2. am i right in saying find the centre of the room then work outwards so i have even cuts down both walls. secondly i have had the floor screeded to make it level however in the far corner it rasies slighty over an area of one tile. how do i get around this problem as this tile is going to be higher than the rest?
kind regards
stuart

Re: Laying ceramic tiles
You can set out so that you have equal cuts to opposing walls. If the two door ways for the porch are in line, then the other option is to centre the tile line in the centre of the door ways. I would go for whichever way looks best.
With the high spot, it depends how bad it is. You can either start to tile from this corner so you start with thinner bed of adhesive and obviously finish with a thicker bed or if it is too much for that, then put some levelling compound down.
