What size tiles for small bathroom

Post by lagi »

Looking to source tiles for a new small bathroom. Ideally floor and walls, will have shower and bath but room has some unusual shapes. So would you think a bigger tile or smaller. Ideally sizes would be more helpful.

Roughly about 6 x 10.

i think you need to get some samples of what you like and just see how they look! tile size is a personal thing,i never choose tiles for my clients as my preference is large format as you get less grout lines! but thats not everyones taste. :thumbright: didnt really answer you question but i hope it helps!

the bigger the tile the flatter the walls need to be to get a good finish! but what sort of odd shapes are you talking about?

mate small room screams for 30cm x 30cm tiles. more tiles gives the illusion of a bigger room.... and choose a light tile and light grout. really opens small spaces up :)

30 x 30 was bigger than i thought, but i have some 33 x 33's in the kitchen on the floor and the room is much bigger but pleased with them.

The room has curved ceilings meeting straight walls and beams coming down. As long as they could be cut ok to fit i would start looking for some.

I was also thinking porcelain as its non porous.

Some walls are an old style with panels made up of what looks like hardened strips of paper inside and plastered. The others are just stud walls with new plasterboard on.

What would you suggest?
