Re: Netbook
Is that correct that you cant insert any discs into a netbook, ie cds etc.?
Yes, the vast majority of netbooks have no DVD drive as they're too small to fit one in. If you want to access files on discs you can transfer them to a USB memory stick on another computer first, transfer them over a wireless network, or you could get an external USB DVD drive to keep at home.

I was going out one day when i got a txt from my brother..saying he was going to phone my home (cordless phone) and i sat ready waiting jacket on bag ect knowing fine i had to wait till he called...so he did and i picked up the phone...and was talking away to him and...i got up and walked out the door locked it walked nearly two blocks away and i could here pips and in a slightly raised voice asking my bro what is that noise as he was getting fainter...then i realised it was my home phone i took out ...between that and trying to turn the telly over with any damn thing that happens to be on the table...i think im truly fecked........
it is also the language and the way the writing is for pc's it all just looks like a doctors signature to me..ah! well Bobbie that is my rant over feel better now.....you are doing a lot better than me so... well done! you will get there..

Re: Netbook
RTmobile:
STORAGE isn't so important on a netbook if you just want something to browse the net with, however if you want to store a decent amount of music on it, or your *purchased digital copies of films or even photos then storage is a definite concern.
MEMORY on the other hand is important, without enough memory or to give it its proper name RAM (Random Access Memory) then the computer has to either commit certain items to disk to free up memory or the machine will lock up due to the lack of memory. (Processor needs to receive a flow of information to be able to do any processing of information). So even on a netbook, the more memory you have the better.
Hmmm do I smell a tinned meat product?
