finding high point

i am going to tile a floor, and wondered the best way to find the highest point of the floor? its a screed floor and pretty level so am i worrying for nothing? just dont want to start tiling and find i come across a high point and end up with a lip on a few tiles? will a good bed of 10mm adhesive take up any high/low points

long strait edge and check at least 4ft long

as above but id go with a 6ft level

10mm bed will use loads of gear!! It'll cost fortune and take ages to get level etc.
Use the longest level you can and if it's a large area go & hire a "Dumpy" level basically a level telescope on a tripod get it perfectly level with the circular bubble level then use a ranging staff, sounds hard but dead easy the hire shop will show you.

why not get a rough idea and use self levelling compound. Its easy to use (even a muppet like me can use it ) and gives a great surface for tiling.
My kitchen was like that, I couldn't really tell what was high and low and as a novice if I don't have a flat surface to tile on I'm buggered
