Tiling Corners..

Post by Joeman »

So im in the process of tiling my bathroom with a mixture of fake and real travertine tiles.
There are a few box sections that need tiling (wall hung toilet in box, corner of bath etc) and windows sills etc and trying to think of the best edging method for the corners.

I've looked at loads of tacky plastic corner strips, which i didnt really like, and the shiny chrome ones are just too shiny!
what are my other options???
See photos for colour scheme - large tiles are fake travertine, and small ones are real Trav used as a kind of freeze running round the room.

Genesis do a range of metal trims that are available in finishes other than shiny chrome. Schluter also do a comprehensive range of trims.

Google either brand names and it should come up trumps for you.

It is entirely up to you as it is all down to individual taste. Nothing wrong in having chrome or a brushed steel finish or pewter, white plastic, beige.................just as someone else might not like the trim you choose if you come to sell the house, they might also not like travertine. So I would just go with your own taste.

I have had clients who hate plastic but love chrome, hate chrome or other metal finishes but love plastic and even clients that hate any form of trim and haven't had them.
