Insulation blowers.

Post by ady »

Hi everyone...help please.

I want to get some insulation into a roof void/floor space, and feel that the only way is to blow it in. Not by my mouth though! Anybody got any ideas about where I can hire an insulation blower from?
Or has anybody done this who can offer some advice?

The guys that did my insulation had an effing great machine on the back of a lorry and long tubes. This was for blowing wool into cavities but I suspect that they can also blast it into voids. If you see the vans operating locally, and there loads at the minute, have a word with them and I am sure they would be happy to do it for a backhander. Miller Pattison is the firm I had ( http://www.miller-pattison.co.uk/ As a DIY attempt I was thinking of a garden vac loading up the blow tube and firing it in lumps, worth a try.
