Makita 10.8v twin pack impact driver and drill

It all depends on what size screws u are using it will drive 32mm dry line screws in for a couple of of hours, I've been using impact driver for drylining and is excerlent you can easily control how far the screw head gos in I also u a dryline bit that stops the screw head going in to far it has a stopper on it, don't know u have come across them your self but if not.... invest it will be the best coulpe of pound u spend!!

I did have the pleasure of using these drills to do a bit of drylinning & really liked them especially the impact driver, but was wondering how the impact driver would fair (battery life) doing a full days work on site of plaster-boarding ?.
At the moment Im toying between buying this set because of the lightness or just buying a bare body 18v lithium impact driver seeing i already have a drill driver & batteries etc

I have the complete set excluding tin snips
I was actually disappointed with the impact it performed no better than the origional drill driver or the older 2 speed drill driver and they all perform the same where as you expect the impact to kick 2 or 3 times its weight

It's on 10.8 v 1.3ah u can't ask for much, that's y I have the bigger makita 18v lion 3ah twin set, the smaller ones are only fir light work dose wonders when fitting kitchens!! Also just got the makita nail gun, pisses on paslode. Also worth buying!

yes i understand the 10.8 kicks well above its weight in fact when i am fitting bespoked furniture i have built i only take the 10.8 unless i have to drill a hole in masonary because all the kit is in the same small box

i have the bosch 14.4v and the ryobi 18v impact driver
the battery size is irrelevent as is the voltage the impact should kick aaarrssee it should propel much larger screws into the wood compared to the hammer drill or drill driver off the same kit

Thanks Guys just the answer I was looking for before I went ahead.
I ordered the bare body Makita BTD 140 £85 inc postage from ebay instead, so really I have saved a few quid as I would have had to purchase a holster to ! & the BTD is the same rpm as my old Dewalt cordless drywall gun .
I really like these little drills & they seem to be more than ample but I thought the batteries might not be up for a full day without changing & charging batteries like the old days (Horses for courses) , plus I have both a 240v & 110v 18min charger for the 18v lions so I always have power.

No u can't turn it off no impact drivers you can off there all the same!!

its like an automatic gearbox that selects a lower gear as the load gets to much it changer gear for more power iff you stop it changing gear it will just stall
so iff you isolated the impact function you would have no more than a small driver
