cutting holes in a ceramic tile..."old style"..video
was waiting on the kettle for my cuppa,so throw this together,wasnt cutting holes for any sevices...elect/plumber so didnt need to clean of with a file....but you will get the drift
but just another way of doing it...

That's how we used to make boiler and pump gaskets. Also making lead washers for wastes etc, is tap out the same way.

scruff....ya sound like ma dad an uncles ..mate ....
was taught this when i was 14 they(the family) were plumbers etc..i was scared off water ,so they needed a ..GRATE BUILDER...(tile fixer for you young yins)...lol..so thats how i started...Then done an appretincship...(bad splleing)..lol.but do have memories off the "old yins" and thier ways...

Some of us carpenter/joiners can still take sawn timber and prepare it by hand.
Good tip about the hole but think my drill is quicker lol. Mind you as in everything, what do you do when the electric is off. how many craftsmen or tradesmen are knackered in that scenario.

Excellent point ROC, I teach all my trainees to operate WITHOUT power tools whenever possible...
