secure cupboards

is it ok to cut wood to put in between the battons in a stud wall to make sure that the kitchen cupboards are secure.

i am asking this as the plasterboard on the other side is not yet up .

and i have a few old kitchen unit doors i was thinking about cutting and glueing to the spaces

then i would be sure that the screws would catch the wood!

it would make me feel better. as it might be easier for me (just a wee mum )
can you advise please ?

if i was you id put the same timber in as the wall is made from and fix into the studs,

One side(Kitchen side is boarded??) and the other side is still open??

Then put in noggins where you are hanging the wall units..screw into those and you should be fine...

Fix the 4x2 noggins flat so the wide part is against the plasterboard, it give you more room for adjustment
