Pictures of Finished Log Cabin thanks to all for advice

Post by welshcake »

It is finally finished (Well just the carpet to go down) and thanks to all for their advice, THe measurements of it are 5x3 it is insulated and plasterboarded all around walls floor and ceiling, full electrics with spot lights, sealed to the house and flashed on the roof. Think it came out well for a total cost of just uner £3000

Welshcake,
I have moved this to the Showcase Forum as it is something to be really proud of, and more people will look at it here.

Bit cheeky on the neighbour lol.

How did you get around planning, with it being right on the boundary and having a verandah also??

that is quite nice I must say :thumbright:

its looks a really crafty way of getting some extraroom without going to the hassle of a extension, well done.

It is not right on the boundary it is about 1ft inside and it is under 2.4m high so think I am covered their plus I got really good neighbours who's kids are welcome to come over when all the tools are kitted out in their and play so they are fine.

If it is within 2M of the boundary it has a max height of 2.5M. Although I should think that the way it is done the council would view it as an extension rather than a log cabin.

Good job you have those neighbours, as you say lol. A lot less risky than the other options you were looking at, so happy days.

Very impressive...especially considering the cost, I'd have guessed at treble that price.

Out interest, what did building control have to say about fireproofing the boundary side?
