skylight iron grille.
as lately we had a spate of burglaries in our neighborhood, i decided to improve security by installing an iron grille under a glass skylight that i have in my house.after making the design i used a very good free program called "rapid re sizer " which enlarges your design an prints it on ordinary A4 paper. and then you just tape the sheets together and you have a full size drawing. then i bent the iron to math the design and welded all the pieces together.

- grille sprayed with copper paint. Will try to spray it with bronze colour as i didn't like the result so much.

Very nice work, Victor.
It is only when you see the last picture that you realise the full size of the piece.
It should confuse anyone attempting a breaking and entering job.

Youve burnt a few holes in the plan though
I did a item that required an aged/worn effect a good few years ago, i painted it a goldy colour, then a light bit of black, then just rub through the black in places with a bit of fine scotchbrite.
The larger bits and corners come through gold, the internal bits stay dark.
Think i might have lacquered it after.... was a long time ago

That's a good idea Hitch. 
I wanted to achieve a dark brown colour with some copper showing through as it would match two chandeliers that are installed in the vicinity, but i was wondering how to achieve that effect. i will try it out and if it comes out to my liking i think i would spray it with lacquer.
