Wheels & Wings

Post by Hinton Heating »

I brought tickets for Wings & wheels at Dunsfold, nr Guildford (where top gear is filmed), on 26th August!

But later have decided to go to shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh festival!

I would like to pass on the wings & wheels tickets to someone who would make use of them!

More info here...

http://www.wingsandwheels.net/home.asp?fdv=1

Face valve is £16 per ticket, but will let you have both for £16, so you get the 2nd free!

let me know if you want them!

I do have them on ebay too, auction ends monday night!

Do they display the latest in aircraft at these shows? OR is it older aircraft?

Would they have something like they do in the US were we have the Blue Angles put on a show. Military aircraft.

Over in the UK we have the Red Arrows, which is an RAF display team.
Just checked and they WERE meant to be doing a display in my town next Friday (go right past my window, they do!) but not doing it this year

The Red Arrows will actually be at the show hinton is talking about - http://www.wingsandwheels.net
Looks like Wheels and Wings will be a great show :thumbright:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

What kind of accidents do the RAF have? The Blue Angels have had a few. Fly upside down and crash casue they pulled the stick the wrong way. Head on, clip another wing, etc.

The red arrows have a very good safety record...

Think they had a crash in 1978, and one or two minor incidents (one overshot jersey runway in 2003)

here they are in a display

We dont have much faith in the american military, seem to have a lot of accidents/friendly fire incidents!

There is a famous quote from the second world war about what soldiers did when planes went over ...

When a british plane went over, the germans ducked
When a german plane went over, the british ducked
When an american plane went over, everyone ducked
