Access panels on tiled plaster board walls.
Anyone got a good tip on the best way to leave/form an access on tiled gyproc & stud walls. I guess the access panel outline would only be seen on the the grout line?
Thanks
Thanks

This seems a good idea http://www.magnapanel.com/buy.html Probably easy to make yourself if you can source some magnets but I reckon hook and loop would work okay too.

Re: Access panels on tiled plaster board walls.
I guess I could use velcro for a catch, it was more the outline of the panel I was thinking about. Maybe some 20mm angle white PVC around the edge, that could be lightly grouted over but still partly visable.
We have used velcro quite a lot for bath panels, it holds onto it like an Aberdoian to a fiver.
It's a dry area Al.
The panel would be about 4x150mmx150mm tiles in area, so about 300mm2 mate.
Thanks chaps for taking the time.

Re: Access panels on tiled plaster board walls.
Another option is to tile fully as normal, then cut out the access panel and put to one side. grout walls, grout access panel. Then wedge acess panel into position and silicone perimeter tile joint.
That is the main way that I do my access panels.

Well it is refreshing to hear from you tictic, I hope this finds you well. Sorry to hear that your shower is still not working, perhaps one of our artisans from Larkhall could have a look at it?
