First (and hopefully the last) kitchen installation......

Post by berryg »

Still a work in progress, it's taken 3 weeks but fairly pleased with the result so far.
I've had some guidance from the father-in-law (who also helped with the worktops) but everything else is my own work. Apologies for the picture quality on some photos.

Well spotted, Gadget. And a case of Bud, too.
Must be to christen the new kitchen when completed, or just to keep the workers happy on Fridays.

I don't like to see so much stuff on the worktop during the construction stages; there's always dust and grit around and with one little nudge of a box or whatever you've got a scratched top.
One day it will all be firewood.

I usually cover the worktops with the cardboard boxes the flat pack units come in. If the units are already assembled I use a few dust sheets. I must admit, I loathe high gloss worktops though. Always seem to pick up at least one slight scratch.
