I have been putting up with the strict nat settings for a while but it is getting worse.
I have a BT Homehub 2 wired to an Xbox 360 playing Call of Duty: Black Ops
So far I have gone to the hub manager and:
* Gone to Application Sharing and put the xbox as Xbox Live
* In Home Networking told it to always use the same IP Address for the xbox
Any ideas?

Yes, just save yourself the hassle, remove the "xbox live" setting from the application page (removes some port forwarding) and add that reserved IP to the DMZ box, wherever it might be in your router.
(Demiliterised zone) or whatever else people call it. It just exposes the xbox and all needed ports/traffic to the "outside world"
If it was a PC/Server/NAS - yeah, might be a problem if it's not full protected. It's not, it's a games console - just do it!
(think of your router being your house. Ports are the windows where services come in. The default behaviour is the drop unsolicted traffic and sometimes traffic that is "late" or in the wrong order. Application forwarding opens those windows to the room with your xbox - but doesn't aLWAYS work how it's meant to. DMZ is like sticking your xbox on the front door, but becuase it's a games console without the security issues of an unprotect PC (or server) - it's fiiiiiiiiiiine.)

PS....sorry if that don't make sense or didn't read well. I'm in Germany sampling the local beer (Waaaaaaaaaay too much) and I'm pissed. Fact.
