Clad on base panels

Hello,

I have recently purchased a Cooke&Lewis kitchen from B&Q in high gloss cream and aubergine.
The Panels that have been provided for the base cupboards are too long for the height of the units and therefore, need cutting to the correct height. Can someone please advise if i place the cut end to the floor or upright towards the worktop surface. I have concerns placing the cut end to the floor as there will then be unsealed MDF coming into contact with water and spillages etc. The plynth seals provided only fit the plynths and not the clad on end panels. If the cut end needs placing to the floor can you please advise what would be the best way to seal them.

the cut edge i put to the floor as 99% of the time it needs scribing anyway.

for sealing i run clear silicone around the end panel and the plinth, i dont use the plinth seal because its rubbish (imo) and i get a better seal with silicone

Oh, are the plastic bit plinth seals!! i always thought they were part of the packaging and threw them away lol (Not serious, by the way)

As Speed says, although I use a silicone to suit plinth colour and floor colour.
