Glass splashbacks

Afternoon, as many of you will remember I had a kitchen fitted by a national company just before Xmas...all well until last week when the Pink glass splashback behind our gas hob cracked....fom top to bottom...

Looking around t'internet it would appear that this is a common problem due o the fact that they're not made of TOUGHENED glass...

I'm entering a dispute with the company... they have supplied and fitted goods that are not "fit for purpose"

Since they can't supply said FFP splashback, any suggestions as to where I should go....

The S/B is, in fact TWO pieces of 600x750, mounted lengthways, with the upper piece cut and finished to match the underside of the curved cooker hood...

A glass shop/double glazing manufacturer would be able to cut some glass to size and toughen it for you but it wouldn't be cheap. Glass tiles might be a suitable alternative and much cheaper.

I thought of going down this route.
Would I be right in assuming the colour is just a stick on film?

No it is a paint.

All our glass splash backs are toughened, it's something to keep in mind when you are comparing quotes as the price is very different!
