cheers richie. got him a proper willow bat the other day. then i found out that it takes some knocking in which involves hitting every square mm of the face with an old corky.
i must have hit it 5000 times today. my hand is falling off.
hes now in our bed with his brother. his bat is tucked in beside him

i was dropping my boy off at lancashire cc for his course this morning and who was i watching in the nets next to the youngsters?

only freddie, mahmood and muralithian bowling and batting.
was really good to watch them close up.
have to say that muras action looks even more suspect up close

just had a lovely afternoon down at old trafford with my 8 year old. his first game and he loved it.
wanted to know if i finish early enough tommorow if we can go to the last day.
dont know if i can stand all that sun

was going to take my 8 year old down to watch lancashire play today.
now apparently mrs panlid and my 5 year old are coming!!!!!!!!!
'so why is his club flat?'
'so how come they have a batter at the other end?'
'so why do they have someone holding the jumpers on the pitch?'

oh its going to be a long day

actually pitbull, we got down there, milled around for 2 hours due to bad light stopping play, game then abandoned when it started raining after huddling together under 2 brolleys for half an hour.
then headed home and guess what?
they had a great time. like mrs panlid said, it would have been a shame for the players to start playing and spoil it

we are going again next sunday.
anyone got any temazapan?

game on taday at lancashire. are we having a UHM cricket club?

lots of beer and sarnies and a full day lounging around. the only bit of effort is to go and swing the bat for a few overs then step on your wicket
