yes my brand new acrylic bath i had brought & fitted has a small hole inside, on the curved bit (probably the weakest point)
i was wiping down a glass shelf from my fridge which conveniently slipped out of my hand resulting in a hole the size of a nail head (approx 0.5 cm/1 inch)
from the top the cosmetic damage is not major but the impact has 'blown' a small hole on the underside
replacing the bath would be a last resort as a repair seems the better option for now......
after doing some research i think the course of action below would be best bet
- patch the underside with a Loctite fiberglass repair kit
http://www.screwfix.com/p/loctite-glass-fibre-kit/86655
- patch the inside of the bath with a Cramer bath repair kit
http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/scratch-and ... t-1845-370
what do guys think? i am also worried if the above does work then how long will it last?
any suggestions would be a big help
help!!! i have a hole in my new bath.... :-(

bigger pack than the cramer one and free delivery instead of a fiver so winds up cheaper.

I would say you've got it sussed out, patch the underneath with fibreglass and repair the top surface.zahmed wrote: after doing some research i think the course of action below would be best bet

The fibreglass, if done properly will last as long as you want it to - I've no experience of the repair kits.
One day it will all be firewood.
