problems with tiles help

Post by jayj »

hi, i have a problem with my tiling i have done the biggest wall in the room and have now started the window wall which is only a small wall, i have fitted the trim and worked my way up on one side then i fitted the tiles under the toilet which is on the same wall as the window, i know i have made a mistake some where as because now i am coming down the other side the tiles dont join up they would have to be cut shorter on a row but then wudnt match up on the other wall, now i thinking of taking them all down but dont want to damage the plaster
hope someone can offer some advice i dont think im cut out for tiling

You will either have to live with it or rip them all off and start again. Before you start do a search for tile setting out. You have to divide walls equally lay tiles out to see where they come before you start. Then draw a level line all the way around room
and you will need a level vertical line every time you start a new wall. Do a bit of reasearch and you will be fine.
Never put a tile on the wall until you know where the last one will end up so you have equal amounts of tiles on each and top and bottom.

You probaly will not get them off without pulling plaster off but if you do you will have to come on here and ask how to repair the plaster you will able to do it yourself with a bit of knowledge.
