Just 1 Cotton Pickin' Minute, How much do you use

Post by Jaeger_S2k »

2 bags of 10k Gold Bal cement and I've run out! ::b

Just how far do you guys get with 10kg? 3 litres isn't a lot, but I asked the 'Topps Tiles' lads and they said 6 mitres you need 20kg, but the bag says 4kg = 2mtres sq. ::b

Oh well back for another tomorrow, ran out of time today too, but didn't get started early enough, my fault as usual!

Must get some new sexy knee pads too, any recommends I've just got inserts and they're not good enough.

Oh me poor knees!

Oh and another thing  the drawing I did was misleading the number of tiles on it was only because I drew a shape and filled it with tiles :-P to give an idea of the grout lines, no where near that many, probably 72 310mm tiles.

Still think a washboy is required though :-P

Kneepads- try them on before buying! I got some from wickes years ago and the protect the knees but are a right pain at the back moving around as your jeans move as they fasten right where you bend.

Does the target area on adhesive EVER match the real area covered? I would love to know if it is down to non-pros using too much or what!
I have used over twice as much on my bathroom so far as it says on the buckets and when I did my small kitchen years ago, it cost a fortune in flexible adhesive and grout - cost me over £100 Sq M I think in the end inc tiles :angryfire:

When you worked out your tiles, did you use a tile stick with the tile size and grout size marked up?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

ive started to get to the point where i can look at a floor/wall and guess how much i need.
i only use inserts as they are the only ones that dont kill the back of your knees.

Dont forget Jags is nearly 60 (based on the poll results) :thumbright: - knees get troublesome by them (so I am led to believe  )
