Re: Forum Down
Very slow here today, it's the first time UHM has been like this for me.
Firefox 5, ISP = IDNet.

One day it will all be firewood.

Re: Forum Down
Following my slow service last night I'm pleased to say it's back to normal today. I'm on IE with Karoo from KCOM.

Re: Forum Down
It was actually quite interesting this morning with 4 computers running side by side.
It became obvious that the page wasn't loading, as when I made a post, it was taking forever to do the biz, but I could read the post on the other computers, even though it was still being sent.
I could also reply to post 1, which was still being sent, and post 2, would then stick (freeze) and I could see both posts on No 3-4 computers.
Anyone confused yet.

Go Directly to Jail, Do Not Pass GO and certainly don't collect £200.thescruff wrote:

I can see what you mean because I had the laptop running on a 3 Dongle and the PC running on Plusnet. The PC was freezing and failing to load but the laptop was getting through straight away, so I was going to put it down to ISP BUT all other forums and pages were loading like lightening.
It is OK at the moment but had about 3½ hours of poor loading and so I left a few bits undone as I could not be sure they would upload.
I texted Chez when I did the tracert at noon and assume he knows about it. Probably he rebooted the server when he got the chance.

Re: Forum Down
I don't know what the problem is.
The server has not been rebooted, so it cannot be that- unless it just fixes itself magically.
I'll open a ticket with support and see what they say.
Last time they said I have to contact them when the server is going slow, but this is impossible if I am at work

Re: Forum Down
That reminds of an episode of Only Fools and Horses when Grandad Trotter was watching two TVs. Someone asked him why he was watching two TVs and he replied, ''Because the other one is being repaired''thescruff wrote:It was actually quite interesting this morning with 4 computers running side by side.
