Want to buy a cable but don't know what is that
Hi,
I want to buy a cable with two ends like the picture. What is its name and where I can get one in London?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a cable with those square boxes at both ends. I would imagine you'd have to get them from BT

Re: Want to buy a cable but don't know what is that
Why have you got it that way round? At the end of the extension it should be a female connection not a male (like you have pictured). If you want to plug another phone/modem/router/home help button then you want a female connection.
i presume in London you have an Argos. Go there and they have shelves with little pieces of paper and blue pens (or have they changed it to pencils now)? Anyway on that piece of paper write down:
552/3702 (if you want a 5m one £4.99)
OR
552/3692 (for a 10m one £7.99)
Dont put both numbers down or you will end up with both.
Once you have done this go to the till, they have "Pay Here" in big letters above where you need to go. Pay either the £4.99 or £7.99 and the person at the till will tell you what your order number is and tell you to go to a collection point (usually A, B, C or D) - they are marked with big signs hanging from the ceiling. Go there and wait until either someone shouts out your order number or watch the TV screen and when it says your order is ready for collection, walk up to the counter and pick it up.
When you get home, plug the male (small connecter) into the hole in the box in the picture you have posted. Then run the rest of the wire to where you want it to finish and plug in your phone/modem/router/home help button into the female connection (the bigger one)

That's probably the best place to get them from along with most things.

but Mark - when in Argos dont let your eyes wonder towards pretty ladies in front of you while waiting to pick it up - keep your eyes on the TV. God knows what happens if you dont get to the pick up counter in time when your number is called.

northwales4u,
"but Mark - when in Argos dont let your eyes wonder towards pretty ladies"
Last time when I was reading something in the catalog book in Argos, some one stole my bag.....I didn't let my eyes wonder towards pretty ladies.

Top tip - put the strap of your handbag over your head so the strap runs diagonally across your chest - they won't nick it thenmarktwo wrote:northwales4u,

Hi,
Thank you for all your posts.
I am attached a new picture to show what I want. Please tell me if Argos 552/3702 fit what I need or not?

Re: Want to buy a cable but don't know what is that
it sure will but give it a little kiss first before you put it in (just for luck). I do that before I hammer a nail in or put a screw in and so far never hit my thumb of got a dodgy screw head

Don't tell us, you were kissing a nail and didn't get your head out of the way quick enough, and knocked yourself out.

Re: Want to buy a cable but don't know what is that
Remember having a right thicko labouring on me while I was doing a roof - one time he came up the scaffold and asked if I was ever worried about poking my eye out when using a hammer. I wont say what my reply was (not suitable for a public forum) but everytime he reappeared with more slates and saw me hammering he would sound like Frank Spencerthescruff wrote:northwales4u wrote:it sure will but give it a little kiss first before you put it in (just for luck).
