Kitchen corner cupboard/Larder
I have been trying to buy a two sided kitchen cupboard 400x400x1250 or similar to fit into a corner of the kitchen, not had any luck so think I might have a go at making one, doesn't seem that difficult (famous last words) but I cant work out what I need to do to the sides so I can fit a standard set of kitchen door hinges and door. Hope this makes sense?

Re: Kitchen corner cupboard/Larder
Are you sure it' s 1250 you want? - 1065 - (1100) would be more normal.
400 door + 70mm (approx) corner post + 595 for return carcass.
Side panels can be made from the 18mm board of your choice for straightforward fitting of kitchen hinges

One day it will all be firewood.

Re: Kitchen corner cupboard/Larder
Thanks for reply, should have been 400x400x2050ish.
The problem I think I am going to have is, a standard door when closed is 90 degrees from side panel of cupboard, because I want this cupboard to fit into a corner (v) the angle will be 45 degrees and I am told a standard hinge wont work, so I need to fit something to side where hinge is going to fit to reduce the angle

Still not sure I completely understand what you're doing, (I probably should have thought through a bit more what you meant by two sided) but I guess now that 2050 is the height.
This might be what you need, if the side panel is at 135° to the closed plane of the door.

If the door is going to be diagonally across the opening you need 45 degree corner hinges, then attach back plates to the carcass side as normal.

If you are using 18mm board to construct the cabinet then you will need 0mm back plates to match the hinges

To help align everything, get a concealed hinge marking jig for pennies from ebay to help position the mounting holes on the carcass.
The trickiest part is getting the door the correct size to fit across without catching doors either side.
