marble tiles on skimmed dricoat

Post by Deleted-user-3 »

hi, just plastered a bathroom with dricoat and skimmed it in prep for tiles..
customers come back with tumbled marble, including multi facet/tile mural pictures...
according to stats im prolly a little overweight with the marble on the skimmed dricoat @ 10mm of tile
white book gives 20kgm2 max, marble seems to be around 25kgm2@10mm + adhesive
so it looks like im pushing it a bit...
never tiled with marble before either... especially pictures....
anyone recommend an adhesive and prolly a sealer?
thanks people.. :thumbright:
All my advice should be taken with a rather large pinch of salt, all the gear, absolutely no idea whatsoever ;)

Hi,
Your weight to substrate will be fine, you'll need to use a single part ( not rapid for walls )flexible white adhesive, seal it with acrylic sealer.
