Tiling advice for the bathroom

Hi I need some advice. We have bought some tiles for our bathroom Forme Alpe White Wall Tile and Hammered Pearl Aqua Mosaic. From Topps Tiles.
Now our basin is under the bathroom window, with only a small gap to fit the Mosaic tiles. The bath is next to the basin, so do we put a roll of the Mosaic tiles above the basin, and continue round the bath at that height or would it be too low? Or do we put a row of Mosaic tiles above the basin, and put them at a different height around the bath?

you should use blu-tack to place a row of the tiles to make sure they look ok before affixing them to the walls....

Some pictures how to do or not to do just to give you an idea, also how about mosaic to the window line at basin hight then continue from windows at another level-but I am not very artistic!

Good idea regarding the Blu tac Ali

Nice bathroom aeromech3 all I can think of at the moment is the Mosaics from basin all the way round the bath, then again Mosaics up higher all round the bath again. Would need to draw it on paper to get an idea, but that would also mean buying more Mosaics and it would be a different batch. So maybe a dumb idea.

Or just trimming the white tiles for above the basin? Hoping an expert can advise.

Thanks: Trimming tiles is not difficult if you have a good cutter, I made the mistake of using a cheap 20+guid one for this bathroom and it cost be dear in time and tiles; bought a Big Clinker when it was on offer for about 90quid for the second bathroom and what a difference. I am no expert but for cutting a few mosaic I used a cheap diamond wheel cutting table.

I had a look at the bathroom, and it should work, Mosaics above the basin, up by window, and then along bath at correct height. What is the correct height, 2/3 up? Should have enough Mosaic's to cover going up the side of the window..
Need to get it on paper first, thanks :)

Put them at what height you like....areomech's are far too high, he would disagree though and quite rightly so, as it is his bathroom and they are where he wants them.

Point being, there is not a set height, it is merely where you want them. They do not have to be a level height around the bathroom, they can step up or step down. They can be on one wall, two, three or four of them.

If you take an average basin as being 860mm to the top and this is where you want the mosaic, the average bath is approx 550-560mm to the top then around the bath the mosaic would be about 300mm above it. Nothing wrong in that.

You could always have them higher up so they run into the window reveals and above the basin you have the normal tile.

ROC, I don't disagree, tried too hard to miss the shower controls and keep them above the soap scum area so's they don't need cleaning too often; IMHO one tile down would have been better

Hi Roc, the basin is 810mm, bath 550mm, and gap between top of basin to under the window in 1.5"

Won't be able to put them up the side of the window now because of the window ledge. Might have to have them lower or have two rows one basin height and one higher (and buy more mosiacs)
