Repairing Corian Worktop

Post by SturdyPurdy »

Hi Guys,

Really need some help here. Have had a couple of Corian Worktops installed in my house (By a couple of carpenters I know from my site) and I need somebody to repair them. They were 2nd hand and had a couple of cracks to be repaired but now there is also a join that needed to be made to be done also. These Worktops were from Ikea and they are about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard, and nobody seems to know who can repair these Worktops!?

The guys that installed it say they are repairable (and I know this to be true now from my own research) but nobody seems to want to touch them. I have a repair kit but am hesitant to do it myself.

If anybody could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful as after calling 10+ company's that install/repair them they all shy away from a repair.

Cheers chaps.

Hi Sturdy,

You could start with a plastic doctor http://www.magicman.co.uk/ (for example)

SSM
Measure twice, cut once!
