In our new extension we have the shell of a wet room 1.8m x 1.7m.
In it will be a WC and washbasin. We have NuHeat UFH installed with the floor screeded forming a dip towards the pipe that will be the drainage for the shower. The drainage pipe is a good 45cm away from any wall and the floor always sloping towards the pipe.
Now, what should I really be doing before tiling? I have purchased mosaic tiles for the floor and will be using flexible waterproof adhesive and have standard wall tiles with a waterproof adhesive. The floor tiles are natural stone and will need to be sealed when finished.
Do I need any preparation for the floor such as coating it with watered down Unibond? Do I tile the floor first or the walls?
Any help will be appreciated as I have never tackled a wet room before.

Re: Tiling a Wet Room
OK there is a difference between 'waterproof' and 'water resistant'
I personally wouldn't use BAL grip in a wet room. What are the wall tiles, i.e size/ ceramic/porcs/stone?
And what waterproofing have you done to the room? Tile backerboards/membrane/painted membrane???
But no don't use unibond to prime the floor.

Re: Tiling a Wet Room
The wall tiles are ceramic 300mm x 150mm. The floor tiles are 50mm x 50mm mosaics that will need to be sealed once laid.
I haven't done any waterproofing to the room whatsoever, which is why I am wondering whether applying some form of primer to the screed will suffice. The walls are bare mortar rendered. The floor was finished 9 months ago and so has had plenty of time to dry out.
This is a wet room that will rarely be used. We have a bathroom and ensuite to use in the main. The wet room is part of our single storey extension where we will probably just be washing our Labrador when he gets muddy. Showering him anywhere else increases the likelihood of him scratching a standard shower tray.
I haven't purchased any grout yet.
