Re: Fouling dog owners
All my neighbours have dogs and because I live in the country they must think it is fine for their dogs to sh*t anywhere. I noticed today that my next door neighbour's dog has taken a dump right on my drive. Went to the bungalow and noticed the neighbour to their had let her dog cr@p right by the gate so picked them both up and deposited them on their door mats - hopefully one day they will get the hint.
One reason I havent got a dog is so I dont have to deal with that stuff but seem to end up with everyone elses. Don't get me started on horses....

Strange how dog shite causes a stink for residents when everyone seems to turn a blind nose to horse shite. I'm not in a particularly rural location but I swerve round piles of the stuff most days. Nappies...... that's what we need

Re: Fouling dog owners
Thats my gripe - the only two pets I have are my two chickens (Beyonce & Michelle - did have Kelly but she died) but they do their stuff in my garden. Cats seem to have a free reign and can go anywhere to take a sh*t. The dog owners round here just think its OK for their dogs to do it anywhere with the exception of Scary Mary who lives in the nearest town who picks up her dogs mess and other dogs dropping that she spots
But horse people - just because they are all under 25 and decided to ride around bra-less they think my eyes are diverted when their horse drops a pile of manure. Over the years I have learnt to walk down tyre tracks because the horses dump in the middle

Re: Fouling dog owners
I just forgot you was talking about sh*t and decided to forgive the horse riders.......why DON'T they wear bras when out cantering around? I'm not complaining in the slightest, in fact....I don't really care *goes to happy place*.
Cats are little sh*t bags though.....there must be around 500 here and ALL of them use my garden as a litterbox. The amount I've chased out. Once told someone across the road how I'm fed up of the f*ck always shitting in my garden....especially the big fat black one, to which they replied red faced "oh....guss is a naughty cat.....we can't really stop him" hahaha

BG - a young lady from up the road called round the other week and her horse wouldnt stop bouncing around - my eyes couldnt keep still but at least I have an invite to her combined 18th/Xmas party (I can see myself getting arrested at the party!)
As for cats my dad has had a long running battle with his next door neighbours cat and Olbas oil on oild tea bags around the perimiter of his garden did the trick

Re: Fouling dog owners
At least horse manure is all vegetable matter and can be added to a compost heap. I must get round to the neighbours, where they have several horses, and tonnes of manure going free.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

I've spoke to the missis and she can't bear the thought of you getting in trouble with the police, so I'm going to pack a case and come with you to the party and personally make sure you don't get in any trouble (or at least let me take half of it....)northwales4u wrote:BG - a young lady from up the road called round the other week and her horse wouldnt stop bouncing around - my eyes couldnt keep still but at least I have an invite to her combined 18th/Xmas party (I can see myself getting arrested at the party!)

Re: Fouling dog owners
The problem most of you have is you're not being assertive enough. Instead of leaving dog sh*t on their doorstep you should really knock their door and challenge them on this. You don't have to be rude but you should leave them in no uncertainty that their behaviour is unacceptable. If they get shirty with you then that's their problem, then you can leave it on their doorstep.
A guy let his dog sh*t right n front of me and was going to leave it. I wasn't rude to him but I told him he wasn't on. He made excuses but I was assertive enough to challenge him. Now he can't even look me in the eye and he always picks up his dog sh*t when I'm there at least.
There really is no excuse for it.

Re: Fouling dog owners
I was out with our dog yesterday when one of the neighbours shouted,, "I hope your going to pick that up."
I shouted back,,, "Give me a chance to wipe my a**e and pull me trousers up."

Re: Fouling dog owners
I thought this was a topic about dog owners fouling the streets!
I had visions of people taking a sh*t and the dogs not clearing it up!
Seriously though at least to mess is in a bag!
I hate having to watch where I am stepping.

Re: Fouling dog owners
The amount of work involved with owning a dog is the reason why I have never, ever, wanted one. But wife went off and got one, and now there are piles of sh|t on the lawn and patio (AKA dog latrine), despite the fact that I installed one of those dogloos for her to move it to. She does, however, clean up after it in the street. The stupid mutt has no idea that the middle of the road is not a great place to take a dump.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

Re: Fouling dog owners
Try riding a motorcycle when there's horse sh*t on the road!
Measure twice, cut once!
