I wouldn't expect much improvement with the SSD when encoding video as it'll be CPU rather than IO bound.

Yeah, it did not seem to help that at all. But I'm happy with the current set up!

When I started editing HD videos it used to take 8-24 hours to encode some of them. This computer can do them fairly quickly now and I always do other things in the background and let it chug away :lol:
