Fitting an L shaped ikea kitchen and already run into a problem
One of the walls is out of plumb, it doesn't so much matter with the base units as the worktop will cover the gap at the back but with the wall units on the adjacent wall it cause a problem as these units need to butt up to a tall unit. Rather than explain it, I made a diagram. (the white cupboards are the cross section of corner units, there are then units running along this wall)
The measurement tall unit to the adjacent wall is great at the top than at the bottom due to the out of plumb wall so having things all meet up is going to be a problem, what's a solution? baring in mine ikea kitchens have no service cavity so shaving some off the back of the base unit isn't an option.

Re: Ikea kitchen and out of plumb wall
4 choices really
1 let the bottom unit into the wall[remove plaster]
2 build the wall units off the wall
3 mixture off both above
4 level the wall
have you checked a plumb line on the wall to rule out the floor dropping and your level being out
how much are we talking about

Re: Ikea kitchen and out of plumb wall
That is the beauty of the Lthuanian produced Ikea Kitchens........you need to pack in/out to plumb instead of scribing them in, as you would with proper kitchens.
One big reason, apart from the shoddy quality, why I turn down kitchens if they are Ikea.
You can get bags of plastic packers from Screwfix which are ideal for the job.

Re: Ikea kitchen and out of plumb wall
I'd say it's out about an inch from bottom of the base units to top of the wall units.
Think I'm either gonna to pack out the wall units, maybe with hardboard instead of packets though(I have them already) or another option would be to insert a filler piece with the wall unit meets the tall cupboard.
I'd disagree about the 'shoddy' quality as well, imo they're fantastic quality for the money. I don't mind the lack of service cavity but do think there out to be a little space at the back for scribing.
thanks

Re: Ikea kitchen and out of plumb wall
to me the best solution is 2 depths of worktops and wide end panels then your ikea cabinets can have full depth cabinets and a void at the back if you need it but no more than you need
