Gorrilla on the chockie advert
Just what is that gorilla doing, it looks spaced out at first, would not mind but listening to Phill Collins! then goes in to a drum solo! Either Mr Collins needs a serious wax jobbie, or the ape will have it's own groupe in a week or two! :rr:

That advert is the doodahs
I'm a sad 80's fan boy - saw the advert and within three minutes was kicking the door of HMV down to buy the album.
I find it twice as funny as my best mate is a drummer
PS - why is this in the grumpy bit? Most folk seem to be

Nothing you do is a waste of time - especially if it can be used as a bad example by others...

Slugster,
I'm with you. I love Genesis and Phil Collins. His 'Face Value' tape probably saved me from a fate worse than death on a train from Switzerland when I was 19. At least he has talent, unlike some of the musicians of today who only mime and cover songs. I listened to it in my Walkman all the way from Wengen to the French border. When the batteries ran out, I had a lecherous old Austrian trying to offer me a bit of his salami and trying to get a grope. Thank goodness there was another stop and another chap got into my carriage.

Stoday,
I worked in Wengen at the ancient Hotel Falken as part of my college training. It's on the internet. I spoke French but since I worked with Italians Germans and Portugese I picked up a little of each language and was beginning to actually understand my work colleaques even though I hadn't had lessons in their respective languages. I was even teaching them Beatles' songs whilst I was there. The best thing was the food, lots of gorgeous Swiss cheese and Italian food and wine brought over with the Italians' parents on their frequent visits. It seems a lifetime away now, 23 years ago!
