GMAIL PROBLEM

Evening All
Am having problems with my GMAIL
It's been working fine then all of a sudden i can't access my account.
I get a message when i try to login saying, 'as i'm using internet explorer
activeX controls need to be enabled'
I follow the instructions to access my internet options security settings,
only to find activeX is enabled and set to default,which is what GMAIL reccommend.
The only way i can access my emails is to turn activeX off,which i assume from a security
point of view isn't good.
What's puzzling me is why it suddenly stops working when none of the settings have
changed from when it was working.
I've run a full scan with AVAST and MALWAREBYTES,no nasties found.
Any ideas

Most likely a Temporary problem with G=mail...

Probably Googlemail having hicups. Just checked mine and had to sign in which I never normally have to do. Seems fine now and emails are opening.

You should install Firefox mate and use this as a back up when this happens. I use Firefox all the time anyway.

I use Chrome with Google mail and Docs, and find it flawless.

I use chrome as the browser & mozilla thunderbird for email, works just fine & dandy with gmail

What version of internet explorer are you using, matey? The older ones are pretty temperamental and aren't really suited to modern internet browsing.

Thanks for the replies guys. Gmail now working fine as before.If it plays up
again will try some of your suggestions.
