Men will always be kids. Even after they have grown up, they keep trying to go back where they originally came from!

Nice one Mod6.
I can just hear the whole place go BOOM. No, I'll pass on that one.

Re: Gas Leak Detector
How much do you want to spend? My Anton would be around £700 to buy!
What's it for? If you're worried about a leak in your own place just ring National Grid on 0800 111999 and they will check it out for free

No big-all, the info you have provided says the happy Mondays are a band of some sort.
I don't want to play some music, so don't try and confuse me?
I just want to spend around £150 for a gas leak detector (electronic or battery operated one, that is)! That's all.

Ah yes my dad now in Rogues heaven,
Used a match -no it’s true, his mate told me years later after they returned from a liquid lunch
to finish off the kitchen supply, but forgot to turn the gas off -
lit the torch up- applied to solder joint - boom -huge flame,
my dad’s mate ran but the o'l man being a pro
manage to turn gas off ,phew

Sorry again as it doesn’t help with detector

It's probably worth me pointing out that KTM is indeed a fully registered gas guy

Re: Gas Leak Detector
The box of matches made I laugh.
When I were a nipper and in the Brussel Sprouts, we had a gas fire at our HQ which leaked a bit from the supply pipe when the fire was turned on, the simple solution (to us) was to ignite the leak.
The leak used to burn with a small flame about the size of a pilot light but because it was burning it didn't smell as it did when unlit, it's terrifying now to think about it but it worked just fine for us.

One day it will all be firewood.

I do admit the matches idea was a good joke. It did make me laugh, loads.
