Eeek, bureaucrats gone mad

Post by Mooncat »

We had planned to inter Dad's ashes at the cemetery on Saturday morning, the only day several of the mourners could attend without having time off work. Had to cancel, Council says interments are not allowed at weekends! Grrr! Why the problem, do they think we can't do a simple task? The funeral director will excavate the hole, all we would have to do is inter and cover.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

Rescheduled for Monday morning instead. I must find out the reason for the embargo on Saturdays.

sometimes its a compromise do the legal bit when you must and have a "ceremonial occasion " at your convenience with a small sprinkle and a turn off a spade in the soil to give the authentic air :cb :dunno:

Scattered My Glenda in the English Channel.

Would hate to think how many laws we broke. Hey what they don't know. :thumbright:

Scattered my Old Man in the Thames at Kew Bridge in Chiswick where were from, Mother and I were in hysterics whilst trying to smuggle the old man out of a Tesco bag into the river, never laughed so much in my life!

Councils don't want to pay double bubble for weekends?

Dad finally laid to rest. Apart from the family, nobody else except the funeral director present.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.
