Just bought one of these. Looks to be good value at this money.
Will advise if I still feel that way in a week or 2 after I have put a few hours of use under it.
It may look like it but it is not a palm / detail sander. It is somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 sheet in sanding area.

Re: B&D Sander
looks good
remember to save the wings on the sand paper as these fit on the nose as this wears out quickest in detail sanding

Re: B&D Sander
I used to slag off B&D stuff, but no more!
Was on a job over 150 miles away from home (working away) and my sander packed in! Went into home bargains an bought one of the mouse thingys for £25. Sanded down the stair spindles etc no probs and that was the beginning of last year, still use it in my workshop today!
Surprisingly it is still going strong, i like the shape of it so prefer it to my dewalt palm sander!!!
Anyway, the little B&D i got is still running strong over 12 months on and it's had heavy use, i would imagine that one will be the same, i have no other experience with B&D, well my dad bought a drill and used it twice.........................

Re: B&D Sander
Just a point on the hook and loop sanding pads just buy the cheapest any size you can get as it makes no difference if you have a circular pad on the triangular base. I bought a load of circular sanding discs when they were on offer in Lidl. You just shift the disc around the pad to even out the wear.
