Removing Salice "rapido" fixing from concealed hinge

Post by handman »

Hello and this is my first post, so I apologise if this is a really silly question.
I would be grateful for any advice on how best to remove a Salice Rapido fixing currently holding a 165 degree cabinet hinge. The hinge itself needs replacing, but I am having difficulty extracting the "rapido" fixing without damaging the door (laminate). The Philips loosens it a bit, but not entirely, so I am not sure if there is a trick I am missing.
Should I remove the hinge from the cupboard first and then just try to pull it free of the door? Problem is there are three hinges, only one of which needs replacing, and I would prefer not to have to remove them all from the cupboard if I can avoid that.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received. Even gentle mockery accepted, if accompanied by a useful answer!
Cheers and many thanks for the space.

these? you turn 180degree to lock them in so 180deg anticlockwise should release them

Thanks, those are exactly the ones. Only problem is I did the 180 degree twist and the blighter just wouldn't budge. But with a Stanley blade and a pair of long nose pliers I gradually was able to extract the thing without (too much) damage to the laminate.
Thanks again for the link and taking the time to reply.
Cheers.
