Hi, I am in the process of doing a kitchen refit. All going ok so far but just found my first serious headache. The problem is that I have L shaped corner units which require the room to be square I guess. Problem is that my room is running out from the corner to the tune of 125mm over 3m making the angle greater than 90 degrees.
My plasterer says that he can dot and dab to the unit line but this will leave a 100 mm void at the far end which I guess will make it near impossible to fit the wall units securely. The other option I was thinking of was getting the wall straightened by having it gradually brought out by batoning and then boarded. This would give me the same fixing as a studded wall.
I am begging to stress over this, so any advice would be really appreciated.
Cheers.
Gra.

Re: Room out of square
thats well out of square.
i would square the wall with timbers, you could do with a table saw to cut timbers to suit,
start by ripping a 110mm timber from 5x2 then strike a chalk line across the floor and cieling square off the other wall then rip timbers down to the chalkline every 450mm untill you get to the other end, you may have to dab the last 400mm ish to the wall as it may be too thin to fix timber, for the wall units measure up the wall to where they need to be and fix a run of 6x2 noggings.
theres no way a plasterer can dab 100mm, the wall will need 4+ layers at the deepest part, built up in layers,
