Hi,
We are about to embark on installing our first kitchen in our first house and wanted to know how hard it is actually to fit a kitchen?
We are going to give it a good go at putting the units together ourselves as we are on a pretty tight budget due to some unforseen work that needed to be done on the house. However we feel we may get to stage where we cannot finish the job due to it being out of our skill range. Could anyone offer us some insigt into how much a reasonable price would be to pay a joiner to finish the job. When i say finish the job i mean, hanging the wall cabinets and installing the worktop and cutting the sections for the sink and oven etc. All the plumbing, electric are in the correct place already. We have 10 cabinets to install in a small 2 bedroom mid terrace so it isn't a big or odd kitchen to install.

Re: First House - First Kitchen
make sure everything is square then you build the units, then when fitting make sure they are level bothways so they fit together nice, you will probs have to scribe the backs as most walls are not plumb, but makesure you keep everything lined thru,
it all has a knock on effect, if the units aint square they will not level easy then if there not level the tiling will not be level and then if the wall units are level and the tiles are not it will stand out a mile
