i got exactly the same one from asda for £9 in store. only afew months ago if anyone is interested then take a look in you local and see if they have anymore in stock.

as far as the bench its self. its a great buy and well worth the cash

I bought the same bench from asda and also thought it was a "great buy" until I used it. The top is made of some sort of m.d.f. and has little or no grip at all and whatever you do don't sit on it like I did. One side snapped in half!! :cb

LOL sorry didnt mean to laugh :wtf:

i too took a small nick out of mine whilst using the router, yes it is a form of hard MDF however i have stood on mine and im 110 KILOS :D and its still in tact

considering the price well worth it even if you do in 12 months need to replace the wood to a more solid form, easy enough and the legs are solid. i had a b&q brand one before this one and the legs where shockingly poor flimsy metal and it cost me 5 times more

Yeah I have replaced the tops with plywood and it's turned it into a decent little bench. I bought a black & Decker one about 35 years ago, very heavy, but I'm still using it. This one from asda has the benifit of being light as well as being a bit of a lightweight :lol:
