You can use a free programme called freemake. Haven't done it this way round although you can, but others i have done have been fine and easy to use.

BitRipper is an okay bit of kit for this type of thing. Not incredibly user friendly, but if you know what you're doing, it's quite straight-forward.

What DVD Morton?

If it's a film, you more than likely can't without ripping the protection out - most encoders don't do this, for legal reasons.

It's actually a bit of a grey area.

You are supposed to be able to back up media that you own - but only to the same TYPE of media.

For example, DVD backed up to DVD.

"backing up" becomes grey when you alter the format or the content.

For example, DVD to PC MPEG (whatever you like).

It's one of those things glossed over though.....imagine them enforcing it? Just about every MP3 player suddenly becomes useless.

Who cares though, as long as you own it....what is the harm, right!
