You seem to have it cracked, The DG Range are very easy to configure.
WEP Key is correct
WAP = Wireless Access Point. Some router companies have a tab stating Wireless Connections and Some a TAB stating WAP. A usuall question you get asked by some one is How do I configure the wireless settings as I can't see them? Which is because that manufacturer has called it a WAP or even just AP.
Once you have configured the router, ensure you save the settings (usually in Commands) and exit or close the browser. Unplug the Ethernet cable from your lappie. You will finfd it easy to configure the laptop after doing all that, as it should detect the wireless router.

RichieP is right, I meant to say WPA which I will use following advice on this board.
Another quick question, is it whilst setting up the router in this way that I make sure that the hardware firewall is working?
Thanks

Hiya,
I've been trying to choose which Antivirus software to obtain (a free one) so have been reading up from several sources. I had made my mind up on AVG antivirus as it seemed to be generally well thought of. However I have recently been reading that a lot of peopl ethink Avira AntiVir is better and am now undecided which one to go for.
Thought I'd try and canvas some opinion on here, is there really much in it between the free programmes available?
