Aquaboard or not
Morning all. Is there any point in using aquaboard for one side of alcove shower if I am going to tank whole area, other two sides solid wall plaster finish. Will ordinary plasterboard be adequate if tanking. Any suggestions on easiest tanking kit to use. Thanks.

Re: Aquaboard or not
Normal plasterboard should be fine if it is being tanked, but if you have opportunity to it is a good idea to use moisture resistant plasterboard ( it’s cheaper than tile backer board)
I recently used everbuilds aquaseal, which was very good.
You can see moisture resistant plasterboards being foam fixed here-
