Been laying some vinyl tiles (Polyflor) in kitchen using Ball F44 as recommended. 2 days later and I can still move them around! How long does this flippin' stuff take to dry?
Floor originally had vinyl tiles which I stripped off then removed old adhesive from floor before washing down and light sanding prior to laying new tiles.

Re: Ball F44 adhesive
Never mind. Just had another look and it is getting there after almost 3 days (supposed to take about 24 hours). I blame this flippin cold wet weather. But it is August, why am I surprised??

Re: Ball F44 adhesive
How thick was the adhesive laid?
Quite often the main thing that makes adhesive take a while to set is how thick the addy is, check the back of the bucket and see what its optimum laying depth is :)
Cheers

Re: Ball F44 adhesive
Thanks Matt
I applied the adhesive according to the directions, but it did seem a bit thick to me, the floor was pretty smooth and non-absorbant so i could probably have got away with a bit less. The tiles are pretty solid now so all is ok, I was just getting a bit sick of walking around on boards everytime I wanted to make a cup of tea!

Re: Ball F44 adhesive
long as it's all good in the end that's what matters!
If it's vinyl tiles, I'd never lay adhesive more than 2mm (use a mosaic trowel!) as it'll take ages to set!
Either that or use Ardex AF200, sticks like sh*t to a blanket!!
Cheers!
